What is Aging in Place?

Aging in Place refers to adapting an environment for someone who wishes to stay at home, but whose home needs alterations made. The modification makes the home safer, more accessible and increases the chances of being able to continue living independently. Someone may not require the services of a nursing home, but they may need some changes made in order to safely function in their own home.

We at Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling are very involved with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and are highly experienced in converting bathrooms, hallways & kitchens. We install grab bars in bathrooms, build exterior ramps, install barrier-free walk-in tubs and/or showers, widen doorways and convert kitchen cabinets to raise and lower with the touch of a button. Just because you are aging, doesn’t mean you are unable to still function in your own environment; you may just need some assistance in designing and completing your project so you are able to stay where you are!
